Abu Melha Palace is one of the heritage palaces of central Abha, standing near Al-Bahar Square as a surviving example of Asir's distinctive vernacular architecture. The palace houses displays of the traditional Asiri house, keeping the region's domestic building culture in public view.
Amsy Group restored the palace for the General Tourism Authority using the methods the building was raised with — earthen plaster and juniper wood, the region's timber for roofs, doors, and windows. Restoration and refit were carried through as one scope, delivered Design & Build.
