Al Qassar Village on Farasan Island is an ancient settlement of stone houses whose ruins record several civilisations, from Himyarite and Roman traces to an Islamic-era fortress. Its hundreds of dwellings, built of local stone and palm leaves, make it one of the Jazan region's most significant heritage sites.
For the General Tourism Authority, Amsy Group restored walls, houses, and the village mosque, built pedestrian walkways, shaded structures, and a service centre, and gave the village an entrance in keeping with its heritage character. The work, completed in 2013, was delivered Design & Build.
